The Dwarf Iris Society, founded in 1950, is a section of the American Iris Society devoted to the miniature dwarfs (MDBs), tiniest of all bearded irises. The MDB class is defined as bearded irises up to 20 cm (8 inches) in height. We also encourage interest in other types of small irises, such as reticulatas, arilbred dwarfs, and dwarf beardless irises.
You are invited to learn more about dwarf irises by touring our photo gallery of more than 100 pictures, perusing the articles in our reading room, or checking out DIS activities, including the display garden program, plant sale, and seed sale.
If you love dwarf irises as much as we do, consider becoming a member of DIS to receive our informative annual Portfolio and participate in some of our many activities.
Be sure to check out our Facebook page and its popular discussion group.
